Siriporn T.

Bangkok — Workshop participant

The session helped me understand why my husband and I kept having the same argument over and over. Not because anyone told us what to do — they did not — but because the framework they explained made the pattern visible for the first time. We went home and actually used the exercise sheet that same evening.

Pathum Thani — Co-Coordination programme

My ex-husband and I have two children and we were spending a lot of time disagreeing about logistics. The templates from the Co-Coordination programme have genuinely helped — we both know what the shared calendar looks like now, and there is less back-and-forth. It took a couple of weeks for us both to use it consistently, but it stuck.

Bangkok (expat) — Workshop participant

As an expat family navigating a big transition, we needed something educational rather than therapeutic. The workshop was exactly that — structured, calm, run by a very experienced facilitator. The group was small enough that it never felt like a lecture. I appreciated that nobody was pushing us toward any particular outcome.

Bangkok — Information session

I went to the Mediation-Support information session not knowing exactly what to expect. The preparation worksheet they sent beforehand was genuinely useful — it helped me organise my own thoughts before sitting in a room with other people. The session itself explained the process clearly. I left feeling better prepared than I had in months.

Bangkok — Co-Coordination programme

My partner and I both attended the Co-Coordination programme together. By week three we had a working shared planning system that we had both actually helped design. The facilitator gave us the framework — we filled it in ourselves. That felt right. It has been four months and we are still using the templates.

Nonthaburi — Workshop participant

I was a little cautious before attending — I was not sure if a group format would feel too exposed. It did not. The group was small and the facilitator set a tone from the start that was genuinely calm. Nothing felt pushed. The take-home materials were practical and I have gone back to them more than once.

Stories From the Field

Three longer accounts from participants who shared more detail about their experience. Names and identifying details have been changed.

Case Study 1 — Co-Coordination Programme

The Situation

Two parents sharing custody of their two children were spending significant time each week negotiating pick-up times, school schedules, and activity bookings — often over text messages that escalated into arguments.

What They Did

Both attended the Co-Coordination Skills Programme across six weekly sessions. They worked through the scheduling templates independently and started using a shared coordination framework by week four.

What Changed

By the end of the programme, the number of back-and-forth exchanges about logistics had dropped significantly. More importantly, both parents reported that exchanges had become more factual and less charged. Timeline: approximately 8 weeks.

"We still disagree sometimes — but now we disagree about the actual issue, not about what was said in which message."

Case Study 2 — Family Communication Workshop

The Situation

A family with two adult children and an older parent found that important conversations — about living arrangements, finances, and support — kept getting deferred because nobody could start them without the room getting tense.

What They Did

Three family members attended the half-day communication workshop. The session covered needs-expression frameworks and conflict patterns. They completed the take-home exercises together two weeks after the session.

What Changed

Two of the three family members described the take-home exercise as the most useful part — working through it privately first gave them language to use in the actual conversation. The deferred conversations began happening, in a different register than before.

"The workshop did not fix anything on its own. But it gave us a different way to start."

Case Study 3 — Information Session

The Situation

An individual preparing for a voluntary structured conversation with a family member felt unprepared and anxious about the format. They did not know what to expect, how to communicate effectively in it, or how to approach it calmly.

What They Did

They attended the Mediation-Support Information Session alone, completing the preparation worksheet in the week before. The session explained the general structure of voluntary conversations and common communication approaches used within them.

What Changed

The participant described feeling much clearer about what the process would involve — and less anxious going in. The worksheet had helped them identify three points they wanted to raise, which they had not been able to articulate before. Timeline: one session, one week of preparation.

"I did not know what the format was going to look like. After the session, I did — and that made a real difference."
